Timelines depend on the service. Federal trademark registration typically spans 10 to 14 months from filing to registration, though initial filings and clearance searches are completed within days of intake. Business structuring and IP trust matters are usually finalized within 2 to 4 weeks once documents and signatures are returned.

For trademarks, a specimen or proof of use, the mark itself, and a description of goods/services. For business structuring, we'll request identification, entity name choices, and ownership details. For IP trusts, a list of the IP assets to be transferred. Your intake questionnaire will guide you item by item.

You'll receive a calendar confirmation and a short intake form. At the call, we'll discuss your goals and outline the legal strategy. Afterward, you'll receive an engagement letter and retainer invoice to formally open your file.

Strategy calls are conducted via Zoom or phone, whichever you prefer. They last up to 60 minutes and are led by your attorney. Come prepared to discuss your brand, business structure, or enforcement issue. This is where your legal roadmap is built.

All invoices should be paid on time. After a 5 day grace period, a late fee will apply. Once an invoice is 30 days or more late, all legal work ceases and we reserve the right to retain payment for legal work already performed, as well as the option to suspend all work until payment is made. If payment is not made within a reasonable time, the attorney may exercise the right to discontinue serving as your legal counsel.
